1. Client-Side Tool Architecture & User Files

NepaliKit provides a wide range of utility tools, including PDF merger, PDF compressor, image compressor, image format converters, QR code generators, JSON formatters, text analyzers, and financial calculators.

All document, image, and text operations execute entirely locally within your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files, photos, financial figures, or sensitive documents are never uploaded to any NepaliKit server, cloud storage bucket, or external computing service. Once you close or refresh your browser tab, memory used by processing is cleared automatically.

2. Information We Collect

Because we do not require account registration, we collect minimal information necessary to deliver and secure our web service:

• Standard Server Logs: Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser user agent strings, HTTP status codes, and request timestamps to maintain reliability, monitor traffic, and prevent abuse (such as DDoS attacks).
• Anonymous Usage Analytics: We may use privacy-preserving, aggregate analytics to understand general website traffic (such as which tools are most popular, screen resolutions, and general geographic regions). These analytics do not profile individual users or inspect your converted data.
• Voluntary Communications: If you submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports via our Contact form, we collect your provided name, email address, and message content solely to review and respond to your inquiry.

3. Local Storage and Cookies

NepaliKit does not use intrusive tracking cookies or cross-site tracking beacons. We may use standard browser technologies (such as localStorage) purely to remember your preferences (for instance, theme preference, last-selected units, or language preferences) directly on your device.

You can clear your local storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings.

4. Third-Party Services & External APIs

Certain informational widgets on NepaliKit display live rates and public data (such as Nepal Rastra Bank forex rates, Kalimati vegetable prices, Nepal Oil Corporation fuel prices, and Department of Hydrology and Meteorology weather forecasts).

5. Data Security

All communication with NepaliKit is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS / HTTPS). By architecting our calculation and file processing tools to run purely client-side, the risk of data breaches involving user files is fundamentally minimized because we never hold your data in the first place.

6. Children's Privacy

NepaliKit is a general audience suite of educational, calendar, and utility tools. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements to our tools, legal compliance, or changes in technology. When changes occur, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
